HOUSTON, TX — The Tejano Legends Houston Official Chapter is marking its second anniversary with a heartfelt celebration honoring the rich heritage of Tejano music and the legendary artists who have shaped it. On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the organization will pay tribute to past and present Tejano icons, with a special spotlight on the remarkable 60-year career of Linda Escobar in Conjunto music.
The celebration will take place at the KC Hall, located at 420 Telephone Rd in Houston, and will feature performances from a lineup of powerhouse artists. Taking the stage will be Linda Escobar, Joe Lara y Xprezzion, Oziel Garza, Gonzalo Perez y Mezcal, Sandy Sanchez & 101, and Conjunto To The Max. The event is set to begin at 1 p.m.
Escobar, a trailblazer in the genre, continues to inspire musicians and fans with her enduring dedication and artistry. Her voice and legacy have been instrumental in preserving the soul of Conjunto music across generations. This year’s celebration also honors music legends Joe Lara, Jesse Lara, Arnold Jimenez Jr., Carmen Esparza, and Oziel Garza Jr. — all respected figures whose contributions have helped shape the Tejano and Conjunto landscape over the decades.

The Tejano Legends Chapters were founded across various cities in Texas and beyond with a mission to promote, honor, and preserve the vibrant culture and legacy of Tejano music. With roots tracing back to the 1920s, the genre blends Mexican and American musical traditions, and these chapters ensure the legacy of Tejano’s pioneers is never forgotten.
The organization serves as a unifying force for artists, musicians, and supporters of Tejano music, bringing together those who have worked behind the scenes and in the spotlight to build the sound that continues to resonate across generations.
This anniversary event is not only a tribute to the legends of the past and present — it is also a celebration of the enduring community and culture that keep Tejano music alive.
