Eric Lee, a next-generation Tejano artist with deep roots in the genre, has released his latest single, “Pacifico,” a soulful ballad produced by award-winning hitmaker Gabriel Zavala. The song marks a new artistic direction for the singer, showcasing his ability to deliver raw emotion and storytelling through music.
As the son of Lee Villarreal from the legendary Tejano band Los Desperadoz, Eric Lee has been immersed in Tejano music from an early age. He began his career as a vocalist for Los Desperadoz, spending over two years with the Latin Grammy-nominated group and recording an album that contributed to the family’s enduring musical legacy. Now forging his own path, Eric Lee remains dedicated to keeping Tejano culture alive while bringing his unique style to the forefront.
Eric Lee took to social media to share his excitement about the new song, inviting fans to experience this new side of his artistry. “Let me know what you guys think of this new song Gabriel Zavala and I created! It’s such a different side to what we have done, and I’m so excited!” he posted.
Zavala, known for crafting hit songs in the Tejano genre, shared his inspiration behind “Pacifico.” “While working with Eric Lee on past productions, I knew he had a voice that needed to be featured on a heart-wrenching ballad,” Zavala said. “So I got to work writing and producing a Tejano ballad that so many of us can relate to. It’s a story of heartbreak and love lost, triggered by the taste of a beverage that takes you back to the good times. I think Eric Lee delivered a powerful performance full of emotion and superb technique.”
“Pacifico” is now available on all digital music platforms and is featured on the Tejano Nation New Tejano Playlist for March 2025 on Spotify. Fans can stream the track and experience Eric Lee’s heartfelt performance as he continues to evolve as one of Tejano music’s rising stars.
