Tejano legend Shelly Lares dominated the evening with three awards, while the late Johnny Canales, a beloved figure in Tejano television, was posthumously honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Tejano Music. The event was a true celebration of the genre, with artists and fans coming together to recognize the talent that continues to push Tejano music forward.
