Tejano Nation has your free tickets for the final concert of Las Fenix featuring Grupo Control, Dwayne Verheyden, and Rudy Olivares for “El Último Vuelo” at Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024.
The beloved group of five sisters from Houston, are preparing to close the chapter on their 25-year music career with a highly anticipated farewell performance, “El Último Vuelo”. The group, known for their unique blend of Tejano and regional Mexican music, will take the stage for their final concert at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio.
The group’s decision to retire comes after years of success and countless memories built through their music. “We’re at a place where we’re really happy with what we’ve accomplished,” Las Fenix explained to Tejano Nation. “We’ve performed in so many places around the U.S. and Mexico, and we’re just really grateful. We don’t want to keep going when we’re not 100% there for our fans. So, we decided that now is the time to say goodbye.”
To make their final show even more special, Las Fenix invited friends and fellow musicians to join them on stage. Grupo Control, who played an instrumental role in their musical beginnings, will be there, along with Rudy Olivares, the son of the late “King of Cumbia”, Fito Olivares, and Dwayne Verheyden. Dwayne, who collaborated with the group on the hit song “Prendo Del Alma”, will perform with them one last time during the concert.
As Las Fenix gear up for their final performance, they are filled with gratitude for the fans who have supported them throughout their journey. “We’ve received nothing but love and support from our fans,” they said. “Thank you for being part of this incredible journey for 25 years.”
