La Dezz, also known as LDZ, has just released their latest single, “Llévame,” produced with a tropical flair that promises to captivate fans. Mark Ledesma shared details about the new song and the band’s current status in an interview with Tejano Nation Radio affiliate Super Tejano 102.1 and morning host Mando San Roman.
Mark addressed his brother David Ledesma’s departure from La Dezz to pursue a solo project. “David has gone solo, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I wish him very well and hope he achieves the success he desires. It’s hard, but you have to push for your dreams,” he said.
Despite the changes, La Dezz, which also features singer Lisa Mar, is moving forward with new music. “We’re working on a bunch of new songs. Everything’s digital now, so we’re adapting to the times. We’ll be releasing music periodically like we did before,” Mark explained.
Mark also spoke about the creative process behind “Llévame.” “When we first came up with it, my brother and I were just vibing in the room, throwing ideas around. We wanted it to have a tropical sound, so we added horns and percussion. Valentino Maltos and Leo Saenz contributed to the horns, and Armando Aussenac played the drums and percussion. It all came together beautifully,” he shared.
