Acclaimed Tejano Country singer Veronique Medrano is all set to grace the stage at the much-anticipated CMA FEST Fan Fair X. The event, scheduled from June 6-9 in Nashville, TN, will witness Medrano showcasing her distinctive TexMex Country sound.
The summer’s most talked-about Country Music event will feature a galaxy of stars including Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, and many others. Medrano’s latest album ‘MexiAmericana’ has been making waves in the Country Americana genre, receiving glowing reviews from Good Country, MusicRow Magazine, Remezcla, and more. The album is celebrated for its ability to bridge the cultural sounds reminiscent of the legendary TexMex Solo icon, Freddy Fender. Billboard has hailed the album as “an essential album in the towering canon of Latino-country projects.”
The Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience, which began as Fan Fair in 1972, has evolved into Nashville’s signature Country Music event, attracting tens of thousands of fans from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and 39 international countries. It holds the distinction of being the longest-running Country Music festival in the world. In 2022, CMA Fest featured over 250 acts on 9 official stages, all in support of music education.
Since 2006, a portion of the proceeds from CMA Fest has been directed towards music education initiatives for students K-12 across the U.S. through the CMA Foundation. This has been made possible thanks to the fans, event partners, and the artists who generously donate their time.
On her upcoming performance, Veronique tells Tejano Nation, “It is an honor and privilege to showcase and celebrate Tejano and Country on one of the largest public showcases for country music in the heart of Nashville. From Brownsville to Nashville, I’m proud to represent my bordertown and South Texas sound.”
