Latin Grammy winner Bobby Pulido is celebrating the vibrant cultural heritage of the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) with the City of Edinburg, his hometown, for the inaugural Corafest Music Festival. This event promises to be a day full of music, food, and fun for the whole family.
Corafest will feature live performances from local musicians, a variety of food options, and a plethora of local vendors showcasing their unique products. The festival is set to take place at the Promenade Park Amphitheater on April 13.
In addition to the festival, Bobby Pulido made a special announcement at City Hall about an epic Conjunto contest for high schoolers. The contest winners will have the opportunity to have three songs produced by the “Desvelado” singer himself, providing a unique platform for young, aspiring musicians to showcase their talent.
“This is something that we’re doing to showcase a talent. It’s a competition. The winner of the High School Division will get three songs produced by me, original songs with original songwriters,” Pulido told ValleyCentral.com.
Pulido is passionate about collaborating with the City of Edinburg to keep the culture of Conjunto and Tejano music alive. He further added, “It is a culture, it’s a way of life, it’s a lifestyle. I’m here to tell the kids you know, if you keep it up, I’m living proof that you can make a great career out of it.”
The festival will also feature a headlining concert by Ram Herrera, promising an incredible musical experience for all attendees. Tickets for this concert are also priced at $10 and kids under age 10 are free, making it an affordable entertainment option for everyone. Tickets are available online at eventmania.com and select locations in the RGV.
Corafest is set to be Edinburg’s newest sensation, offering a unique platform to celebrate and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the RGV.
