Texas Latino, a popular Tejano band known for blending traditional Mexican music with country, rock, and pop influences, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the music industry. In 2023, they released a 15-track album titled “30th Anniversary, Volumen 1” to commemorate this milestone. The album features a mix of classic hits and new songs, showcasing the band’s versatility and talent.
As part of their ongoing celebration, Texas Latino plans to release “30th Anniversary, Volumen 2” this year. One of the highlights of this upcoming album is the duet “Pienso En Ti” featuring award-winning singer Monica Saldivar. The song, which is already available on various music platforms, showcases the harmonious collaboration between Texas Latino lead singer Gabe Rivera and Saldivar, adding a fresh dimension to the band’s sound.
“There’s so many collaborations going on that I was like, ‘You know what, Texas Latino hasn’t done a collab.’ I thought we should do a collaboration to kick off the new year,” Rivera tells Tejano Nation. “We teamed up with Monica Saldivar, who of course an amazing vocalist and when I was thinking about who I wanted to work with as far as a female vocalist, she was at the top of my list becaue she’s an amazing vocalist, she’s a great artist, and I got to see her perform a few times and I was just blown away by her talent.”
Monica Saldivar, known for her powerful vocals and emotive performances, brings a unique flavor to “Pienso En Ti”. The collaboration between Texas Latino and Saldivar is a testament to the band’s commitment to evolving their sound while staying true to their Tejano roots.
“It actually came out exactly how I envisioned it or heard it in my head,” Rivera added. “We’re super excited about it.”
