Monica Saldivar is one of the rising stars of Tejano music. She won her third Tejano Music Award for Collaboration of the Year at the 43rd Tejano Music Awards last month for her duet with Shelly Lares on “No Me Olvides”. She also recently released a new single, “En Realidad”, produced by Bobby Pulido.
In an interview with Domingo Live, Monica shared how she felt working with two of the most iconic artists in the genre. She was honored and grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with Shelly and Bobby, who have been her mentors and inspirations.
Monica revealed that she has been a fan of Shelly since she was a little girl and wanted to record the Tejano icon’s song “No Me Olvides” as duet. produced and arranged by “Little Miss Dynamite,” who has been very supportive and helpful during Monica’s career.
The Grand Prairie, Texas, singer also talked about her collaboration with Bobby Pulido “En Realidad”. She met Bobby at a show in Arlington and discussed working on a song that would become the hit single.
