Whether you want to experience the thrill of exploring the old Lockwood National Bank building, where Samuel Maverick (one of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence) once lived, or just enjoy a spooky craft cocktail at their bar, Maverick Distilling has something for everyone this Halloween.

Here are some of the cocktails you can try at Maverick Distilling’s bar, or make at home with their products:

Pumpkin Spice Sazerac: This twist on the classic New Orleans drink features Maverick Distilling’s Straight Rye Whiskey, which has a rich and spicy flavor that pairs well with the pumpkin spice syrup, Peychaud’s bitters, and absinthe rinse. Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy this warm and cozy cocktail on a chilly night.

Ingredients:

  • Absinthe rinse – 1 spray of glass (0.5 oz)
  • 2 oz. Maverick Distilling Straight Rye Whiskey
  • 0.5ml or 4 dashes Peychauds bitters
  • 0.5 oz Spiced simple syrup

It combines Maverick Distilling’s Gin, which has a smooth and balanced taste with hints of juniper, coriander, and citrus, with dry vermouth, lemon juice, house made orange liquor, and a dash of absinthe. Mix these items together with ice, pour into a glass, and garnish with slice of limes. Cheers to the living and the dead!

It uses Maverick Distilling’s Vodka, which is distilled six times for a clean and crisp flavor, with orange liquor, cranberry juice, and cherry syrup.
