If you are looking for a new song to add to your playlist for the upcoming Day of the Dead celebration, look no further than “La Llorona.” The collaboration from talented guitarist EZ Cin with Rhonda Garcia, a renowned vocalist and violinist in the mariachi and Tejano scene, delivers a stunning rendition of the classic folk song.
“La Llorona” is a song inspired by the legend of the weeping woman, a ghostly figure who wanders the night looking for her lost children. The song is a homage to the ancestors and the culture of Mexico, especially during the festive and colorful holiday of Dia De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.
EZ Cin wanted to create a song that would honor his heritage and celebrate the life and death of his loved ones. He was thrilled to work with Rhonda Garcia, whom he admires for her talent and experience.
“Rhonda is an amazing singer and violinist who has been in the mariachi and Tejano scene for a long time. She was the first woman to join the famous group Mariachi Campanas De America, and she has worked with legends like Celia Cruz, Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez, and Gloria Estefan. She also joined Mariachi Los Caporales, becoming the group’s first female as well. She has a powerful voice that gives this song life and emotion,” EZ Cin says.
“La Llorona” features a soothing guitar melody that accompanies the sultry vocals of Garcia that will touch your heart and make you feel the spirit of Dia De Los Muertos. It is a song that celebrates the past, the present, and the future of Latin music. You can listen to it on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other platforms. Don’t miss this amazing collaboration between EZ Cin and Rhonda Garcia! Watch the video below.
