The immensely popular, Grammy-winning trio of Texas brothers, known worldwide as Los Lonely Boys, continue their recent release of original material in preparation for a much-anticipated new album, and the latest single, “Dance With Me,” moves you inside and out as one brother in particular puts on his dancing shoes.
Most music fans know Los Lonely Boys for their monster breakout No. 1 hit, “Heaven,” from the band’s self-titled debut album that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The three Garza brothers from San Angelo, Texas, include vocalist/guitarist Henry, bassist/vocalist Jojo, and drummer/vocalist Ringo.
Jojo spoke exclusively to Tejano Nation‘s Sylvia Carrizales about not only the group’s latest release, “Dance With Me,” which he produced and sings lead vocals on, but reflections on the group’s success and how they approach their unique bilingual, bluesy, “Texican rock” sound, and even mentions some of his favorite Tejano artists.
The tropical-tinged romantic yet rocking, “Dance With Me,” talks about the dance of life and love. Jojo elaborates on the song and video he calls “his baby.”
“The song is really about the dance of life, it is,” Jojo said. “It’s the dance between a man and a woman. The dance between the celebration of living a life together.”
In the group’s signature bilingual style, Jojo sings about falling in love through an intimate dance experience.

Featured in the “Dance With Me” video, is Jojo, who joins dancer/actress Victoria Kamila for a sizzling series of steps that spice up the mood.
“The dancing was really fun,” he said. “It actually is a really cool thing. I got to show some of that off.”
Jojo explains his Tejano roots helped with his dancing. He specifically credits his mom for teaching them how to dance
“We were raised in Tejano households and so we grew up dancing to all kinds of music,” he said.
More is on the way from my interview with Jojo.
Los Lonely Boys continue “The Brotherhood Tour,” with an expected Feb. 24, 2024 date at San Antonio’s Aztec Theater, with several additional dates in Texas, including an Oct. 21, 2023, appearance at Fiesta Jam 2023 in Marble Falls, Texas.
