Vegas Tejano Takeover 2023 Kicks Off With Los Lobos 50th Anniversary at Vegas Vibe Pool and Tequila Splash

Vegas Tejano Takeover 2023 kicks off tonight with the Vegas Vibe Pool and Tequila Splash with a Los Lobos 50th Anniversary celebration featuring Los Desperadoz and Da Krazy Pimpz at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.

Los Lobos is an iconic Chicano band and the East Los Angeles ensemble rose to international stardom in 1987 when their version of Ritchie Valens‘ “La Bamba” peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Vegas Tejano Takeover 2023 is scheduled for July 6-9 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. This year’s event will include a tribute to late Tejano icon Jimmy Gonzalez and the reunions of legendary bands Romance and Fandango USA highlight the artist lineup for the four-day event in Las Vegas.

The Tejano America Fan Fest Expo on Friday, July 7, features performances from Johnny Hernandez, La Dezz, Eddie Gonzalez, Ricardo Castillon, Cindy Ramos, and Viva Tejana Dance Company. Friday night’s Gran Baile will include a Gary Hobbs 40th anniversary celebration, Michael Salgado, the reunion of legendary band Romance, Pio Trevino, Fandango USA reunion, and Grupo Asalto.

On Saturday, July 8, the Tejano Ameria Fan Fest Expo will feature The Homeboyz, Los Fantasmas del Valle, and Viva Tejana Dance Company. The Gran Baile on Saturday night includes the ultimate Jimmy Gonzalez Tribute featuring Mike Gonzalez & The Iconiczz with special guests, A.B. Quintanilla III Y Los Kumbia All Starz, and Jay Perez.

The Squeezebox Ultra Music Bash on Sunday, July 9, will include Conjunto Califas, Grupo Retono, and Lazaro Perez Y Su Conjunto.
