SAN ANTONIO – Tejano Nation, the news and media company dedicated to promoting and preserving Tejano culture, announces radio personality Rebecca Denise as a contributor covering the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
”Rebecca’s passion for Tejano music and culture is a great addition to the Tejano Nation team of contributors,” said John Henry Medina, Managing Editor at Tejano Nation. “She will bring a wealth of content to Tejano music fans with exclusive interviews and videos of your favorite Tejano stars.”
“Tejano’s Dancing Princess” is a frequent attendee at many Tejano events in her hometown of Dallas, along with San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, and Las Vegas.
“I’m over the moon excited to be a part of Tejano Nation especially since I’ll be able to showcase the local talent here in Dallas,” said Rebecca Denise. “Tejano Nation fans will receive lots of videos of Tejano artists’ performances in the DFW area. Eventually, I would love to host a podcast show!”
Rebecca Denise began her radio career in 2019 with TejanoToTheBone.com as co-host and within a year she gained the opportunity to host her own radio show. In 2021, she joined KNON 89.3 FM in Dallas to co-host a four-hour weekly radio show which earned her a nomination as Radio Personality of the Year at the All-Star Music Awards in 2021. She connected with TejanosBest.com in September 2021 and currently hosts a show every Monday night from 7-10 pm CT. Rebecca Denise won Internet Radio Personality of the Year at the 4th annual All-Star Music Awards in 2022.
The award-winning radio host has served as a guest judge for Buscando Talento con David Olivarez, an annual talent competition hosted by the Tejano superstar in Houston, Texas.
Rebecca Denise is also involved with many community projects and events in the Dallas area including her own toy drive and concert during the holidays, plus promoting Tejano music and culture at the many schools in the DFW area.
“I’m very proud to say that the Toys for Tots fundraiser event was a success as four boxes of toys and two bicycles were donated,” she said. “I plan on continuing to host A Toys for Tots Foundation event every year going forward.”
She loves dancing, attending concerts, crafting, and listening to music, especially Tejano music, which began at a young age with her parents’ guidance. Her all-time favorite Tejano singer is the late, great Jimmy Gonzalez of Grupo Mazz, who gave her one of her three dogs as a Christmas gift in 2016.
“My parents took me to my first Tejano dance to see La Sombra and that’s when I fell in love with our Tejano culture,” said Rebecca Denise. “My goal being in the Tejano industry is to help promote the music, the artists, and all those on the radio platform for the future of our culture.”
