Magali Delarosa dropped the official music video for “Quiero Que Vuelvas,” the first single leading up to a new album release in the spring of 2023 for the Rio Grande Valley singer. The song was written by her father, Carlos Delarosa, and produced by Mike Perez.
“It’s one of my favorite songs on the album and I’m so thankful to my team for helping out with the release and the video,” Delarosa tells Tejano Nation. “This song is so special because it has such a pretty fun beat and I love the story it tells. It’s a great track to dance to.”
The visual for the catchy cumbia has a romantic comedy theme which is a movie genre the singer and actress loves and would love to portray on the big screen one day. The video was directed by Baldemar Garcia of First Class Cinema and filmed at several locations around the RGV, including The Snack Stop in Pharr and Brewsome in McAllen.
“I was blessed to have Brandon ‘Heartbreaker’ Figueroa star in my video,” said Magali. “To have such a talent not only in boxing but in acting play a part in this was a dream come true. Making the clothes for this was also so fun.”
Figueroa is a two-time championship professional boxer from the Rio Grande Valley, who held the WBC super bantamweight title between May 2021 to November 2021 and the WBA (Regular) super bantamweight title from 2019 to November 2021.

The singer, actress, fashion designer, and dancer was born and raised in Pharr, Texas. The three-time Tejano Music Awards nominee for Best New Female Artist in 2016, 2020, and 2022 is working to complete her fifth album and currently filming her third movie.
Magali was inspired by her father and is a second-generation Tejano singer with many influences from different genres. “We always had music in the home, and he was a bass player in a Tejano band called Grupo Fuego,” said Magali. “They were on the Hacienda Records label. Also, Selena and many other vocalists such as Thalia, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, Rocio Durcal, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey have been a huge inspiration to me.”
