Fans of late Latin music icon Selena Quintanilla-Perez don’t have to wait much longer for the highly-anticipated single from the singer’s upcoming posthumous album announced earlier this year.
“Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti” is the lead single from the upcoming Moonchild Mixes album and will be available to stream beginning on Friday, July 29, according to the official social media accounts for Selena.
“Fall in love with Selena all over again with brand new arrangements beautifully curated for her fans,” said the statement on Instagram.
Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla, announced news of the singer’s new album during a virtual interview with On The Record with Jose Rosario on March 10. The album will be released through Warner Music Latina featuring 13 songs taken from the Q Productions vault produced by A.B. Quintanilla III, Selena’s brother.
Abraham Quintanilla stated, “What’s unique about it is that not only is the music completely new arrangements but my son worked on Selena’s voice with the computers and if you listen to it, she sounds on this recording like she did right before she passed away.”
After almost three decades since Selena was murdered by her fan club president in 1995, fans continue to desire anything from Selena, including new music.
Abraham added, “What amazes me and my family is 26 years later the public still remembers Selena, you know they haven’t let go of her and they’re waiting for a project like this to come out and I know it will be well received by the public.”
“Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti” is available to pre-save on Spotify.
