Conjunto Senzzible has returned after a four-year absence from music with their new single “Como Dios Manda”. It’s a song originally recorded by La Santa Cecilia.
“We focus in recording music that has not been converted to Conjunto/Tejano style, this time we got inspired with this mariachi song done by La Santa Cecilia, a Grammy-winning band that we have high respect for,” the band told Tejano Nation. “The lyrics of ‘Como Dios Manda’ are of high impact and the feeling it comes with is unique.”
“We decided to record this new single to let our fans know Conjunto Senzzible was back from a brief break introducing new music as well as more original music from our repertoire,” said the band.
The Houston, Texas-based conjunto brings over 30 years of experience in a diversity of genres varying from Tejano, Mexican Regional and Conjunto.
The band features Jose Quezada on bajo sexto and lead vocals, who has almost 20 years in a variety of bands and recorded several albums that include his original compositions. Accordion player and vocalist Ramon Gonzalez has over 20 years in the music industry and recorded his first professional album with Freddie Records at the age of 17 as part of Grupo Eskandalo. Bassist Henry Ayala has been in the music business for 34 years following in the footsteps of his father Lalo Ayala. He started playing the drums at the age of 14, beginning with his father Lalo Ayala Y Su Conjunto. He also has played drums with groups such as La Fiebre, Los Monarcas, Grupo Negami and many more.
Conjunto Senzibble released their debut album Que Suerte La Mia in 2012 on Hacienda Records and are planning for their next album to be released in the summer of 2019.
The band is already working on their next single, “Culpable Soy”, a song written and composed by Quezada.
“A tremendous song recorded a couple of years ago in a Tejano genre,” the band said. “Only this time, we will give it a conjunto touch as that is what our passion is, Conjunto music.”
“Como Dios Manda” is available now at all digital music platforms.
