Tejano Nation caught up with three-time Tejano Music Awards winners Grupo Remedio before they hit the stage for the inaugural Tejano Palooza concert in San Antonio, Texas on July 30.
The band swept the new artist categories at the 2016 Tejano Music Awards, including Best New Group, Best New Male Vocalist for Rigo Navaira and Best New Female Vocalist for his sister Destiny Navaira.
Destiny says their upcoming sophomore album, their first with new record label VMB Music Group, will be more progressive and feature more of the siblings’ influence. The upcoming album will be the follow-up the group’s hugely successful debut album, Siempre Cantando.
The siblings also talked about their collaboration with label mates Jamie Y Los Chamacos on “Este Momento” and much more.
