Latin singing sensation Veronique Medrano released her mariachi track, “Sobreviviré,” from her sophomore album Mi Año Dorado.
“It’s been a year since the release of Mi Año Dorado and ‘Sobreviviré’ is an anthem of strength and power,” Veronique told Tejano Nation. “Mariachi has always been music that has expressed emotional strength and fire that a person possesses, whether it is at their best or at their worst of times.”
This original mariachi song was written by Veronique and arranged by Elio Positivo.
“This isn’t your typical mariachi song in the sense of style and lyrically it comes from a dark place filled with pain,” Veronique added. “Everyone has that point where the heartbreak and torment from a betrayal is so overwhelming that all you can do is scream out ‘Sobreviviré’ (I will survive).”
Veronique’s sophomore album Mi Año Dorado, which was part of Tejano Nation’s Top 10 Albums of 2016, is available at all digital platforms.
