The achievements and accolades have been plenty for Michael Salgado over his 21 year music career and he’ll add another at the Texas State Capitol in Austin on Tuesday, May 2.

The singer and musician is proud of his Mexican roots growing up in the west Texas town of Big Spring.  Salgado, who now lives in San Antonio, has been one of the leading representatives and promoters of Texas music around the world and has dedicated himself to charitable causes by getting involved to serve the community.

The Texas House of Representatives will honor Salgado for his career and successes in the music industry, as well as his charitable contributions, when Texas State Senator Eddie Lucio Jr, of District 27, and District 38 representative Eddie Lucio III, come together to give Salagado the highest recognition that the State of Texas can give to a citizen, with a Resolution for life merits and a Proclamation highlighting his civic contribution.

The two-time Latin Grammy winner has received dozens of awards, honors and recognition, both from the community and from the government, but without a doubt May 2 will be a memorable day for the singer.
