March 21st marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Selena, a film that had huge emotional significance for Latinos in the ’90s. The biopic of the Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla was one of the only times Latinos were portrayed on screen authentically. She was a Mexican-American role model who embraced her culture, represented Latinos everywhere, and stayed humble and transparent despite her success.
True Selena fans have seen the movie over and over again, but in the midst of squealing/crying/fangirling hard throughout the entire two hour long flick, you may have missed these eight mistakes!
