The lineup for 2017 Fiesta De La Flor was announced on Thursday, but fans noticed a usual performer was missing from the lineup, Chris Perez.

Headliners for the two-day festival in Corpus Christi on March 24 – 25 include Grammy Award winners La Mafia on and AB Quintanilla Y Elektro Kumbia. Other performers announced are Finding Friday, Jimmy Gonzalez y Grupo Mazz, Megan Chapa on Friday, March 24 with headliner La Mafia. The following day on March 25 once again includes Finding Friday, B-Side Players, Isabel Marie, David Marez, Las Fenix, Tejano favorite Pete Astudillo, Adalberto and The Latin Breed, and Grammy Award winner A.B. Quintanilla y Elektro Kumbia. Chris Perez, who has performed in the previous two years of the festival that honors his late wife Selena Quintanilla-Perez, was nowhere to be found on the lineup.

Fans noticed this immediately and began to use the hashtags #WheresChris and #TeamChris on social media to show support for the musician.

In December 2016, Abraham Quintanilla Jr., Selena’s father, filed a lawsuit to stop production of a television series based on Perez’s best-selling book To Selena With Love.

Perez commented about the snub on Facebook, according to a screenshot shared from Selena tribute performer Monica Peralta on her official Facebook page on Thursday.
