Laura Pausini, Mario Domm and Wisin Join Host Alejandra Espinoza in “La Banda” Season 2

After the resounding success of the first season’s winning band, CNCO, the highly anticipated music reality show returns bigger than before – with boys and girls competing.

Season two of “La Banda,” the popular music-based reality-competition developed by Univision Network, SYCO Entertainment and Saban Brands, returns to Univision Network on Sunday, September 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT).  Global superstar Laura Pausini, who fans loved for her distinct nurturing touch in the first season, is joined by award-winning star Mario Domm, founder of the Mexican pop rock group Camila and popular Urban music artist Wisin as judges of this new season. The talented Alejandra Espinoza returns as host. The second season promises to be bigger than before with an expanded talent search that includes both boys and girls.

In its first full season run, “La Banda” was a resounding success and reached 18.8 million total viewers. The show concluded with the blockbuster debut of the winning band CNCO, which has toured throughout the U.S. and Latin America to adoring fans. Their first single “Tan Fácil,” produced by Wisin, soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s “Latin Airplay” chart. The group received five Premios Juventud 2016 awards and are currently celebrating the launch of their new album “Primera Cita.”
