The announcement was made via the official Jay Perez and the Band Facebook page on Monday morning.

“Spurs fans!! Our very own, The Voice JAY PEREZ will be singing our national anthem at the AT&T Center tonight for game 2! Good luck Jay, and GO SPURS GO! #‎raceforseis #‎thevoice.”

Perez is no stranger to singing the national anthem in front of large crowds and has performed it locally before at San Antonio Spurs games, also before Dallas Cowboys games and even for President Barack Obama.

Monday night’s NBA West Division Semifinals Game 2 between the Spurs and Thunder is set for tip-off at 8:30 p.m. The Spurs defeated the Thunder 124 – 92 in Game 1 on Saturday, for a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
