Roel Nava and Cindy Ramos release official video for ‘Fuiste Tú’ duet

Roel Nava and Cindy Ramos released the official video for their duet, “Fuiste Tú,” on Thursday (April 14).

“Fuiste Tú” is a remake of the 2012 Latin Pop hit from Guatemalan recording artist Ricardo Arjona and Guatemalan singer Gaby Moreno.

Nava, the 2015 Tejano Music Awards Best New Male artist nominee, posted the a link to the YouTube video on his official Facebook page on Thursday (April 14).

“Buenos dias amigos aki les presento mi nuevo tema cover algo del señor Ricardo Arjona, acompañado de mi amiga Cindy Ramos ojala les guste y puedan compartirlo,” Nava wrote.

Ramos told Tejano Nation how the duo first got together.

“Roel and I are both from Laredo,” Ramos said. “He invited me to sing ‘Mi Tesoro’ on stage at one of his performances and I guess that is when we knew we had to do something together.”

Th idea of a duet between the two vocalist began to take shape.

“We began talking about doing this project for a while and we finally did,” Ramos said. “He is an amazing singer, producer, musician…not to mention he was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2015 Tejano Music Awards. I had the privilege of performing this song with him at Fan Fair this year and the crowd loved it. We’re hoping for the best as we proudly represent Laredo.”
