In a collaboration with Univision, Sesame Workshop, the non-profit behind “Sesame Street,” has created a new show specifically for Latino families living in the U.S. with content reflecting their language and culture.

Guests such as Diego Luna, Leslie Grace, Aislinn and Vadhir Derbez will help equip young Spanish-speaking children with the tools they need to succeed in this country. Well known “Sesame Street” characters will also regularly interact with Carlos Calderón and Lourdes Stephen from “Sal y Pimienta,” correspondents Tony Dandrades and Jackie Guerrido from “Primer Impacto,” Maity Interiano and William Valdez from “Despierta América” and Pablo Ramírez from Univision Deportes.

Two seasons of 30-minute episodes have been filmed and will begin airing August 1 at 8:30 a.m. ET on “Planeta U,” the Saturday morning block of children’s programming on Univision. To kickoff the premiere, “Sesame Amigos” characters will storm the set of “Despierta America” this Friday from 6-10 a.m. ET.
